So recently we have brought out our 'Hull Loves' tees in some new colours and with our 'Croggy' print now available on a t-shirt too! We so so happy to announce that Beasley's, one of our favourite shops in Hull and a very much cherished gem in our city, are now selling our tees!

The new studio is coming along rather nicely and when Bowes Threads say handmade we mean it!
Everything we have done to our new space has been done by ourselves, friends and family. This week we have spent our time painting it in time for our new flooring off Sarah and Katie's Dad!
We can't wait to be in the new studio, all bright and spacious, plus new photos of our babes!
We are so proud to be from Hull! It is absolutely amazing that we have been named the 'City Of Culture' 2017!
This is a tremendous achievement for the city and all of those involved! We are really looking forward to what the next few years hold for the city and hope that we can be more involved! It has been a long time coming and the fact something so positive has happened for us, is brilliant. We really hope this can change some of the negative perceptions people have on our city.

The Avenues looked gorgeous this Autumn morning, even if it was reaalllyyy colld!
We had a busy morning processing orders and making some new Hull Loves designs! To celebrate the great news we all had a Pattie Butty and chips for our dinner, with Chip Spice of course! This resulted in the 'Pattie Butty' twitter account sending us tweets telling us they love us, which was quite comical!

Our new Threads have gone down great in Topshop over the past couple of weeks! We have a two NEW skater dresses, a peach fabric with velvety black polka dots! The other is a dipped forest green speckled fabric, with an embellished waist band. They are absolutely B. E. A. Utifullll!! They will be in store on Thursday! So we will be having a big re-merchandise to make it look lovely for you all!
The pink velvet 'Minnie' skirts have nearly sold out! Not to worry though, we shall be getting more of those cut out and made up as soon as possible! No harm done if you can't wait though ;) We may also be doing them in different colours... Watch this space!
As for everybody starting their Christmas shopping, we're thinking about new t-shirt designs, things that make Christmas a unique time for Hull, Yorkshire or Britain! If anyone has any great ideas feel free to Tweet us @bowesthreads they will be much appreciated!

Everybody say a big Hello to Buzz! He is the cutest little kitten ever and also a little bit crazy! Every body loves him!!
So other than stuffing our faces with chocolates and watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S, we have been finishing off our new dresses, tops and skirts! We have some new dresses, a skater dress with an embellished waistband in two different fabrics.
Our pink velvet 'Minnie' skirts are realllyyy pretty, and look great with the new 'Skullz' top. They're now in store just in time for Halloween!
The Midnight dress is now available in a dark red colour as well as the blue and they are now in Topshop, St. Stephens, Hull.
There's a little buzz around town about our annual fair!
The anticipation of wrapping up in the cold weather, hot dog and burger stands, candy floss and the rides is getting everyone excited! Oh and the hot roast chestnuts... my faaaavourite!
We love Hull Fair and to celebrate we have created a Limited Edition printed t-shirt! We couldn't believe it when we found out it started way back in 1278! There are only 70 of them, each numbered, 35 White and 35 Black!
They are exclusive to Topshop St. Stephens Hull! So hurry up and pick your number!! They're selling fast!!
Katie had an amazing time at Leeds, despite the mud bath!
She saw Swim Deep and Tame Impala along with a few other of our favourites! Sarah and I, are SSoooooo Jealouss!!!
The videos of Katie and Carl on the big wheel are brilliant! So so funny!
Towards the end of the year The Weeks, Crystal Fighters, Swim Deep, HAIM are all touring!! I have a feeling I've forgotten someone! Hey Ho! So us Bowes girls, including Karma, are hoping to go to some! We're all off on little ventures over the next few weeks too. I'm going to York next weekend, Sarah is going to Brighton in a few weeks and Katie is going to London! All having nice little breaks with the boys!
We're well into our A/W collection, I have been putting together some lovely knitted jersey dresses which will look lovely with a chunky cardigan and tights or boots and a big denim jacket! We have FINALLYY got some children's tops on the way too! So those that have been waiting will be happy!
We sent the first one to Australia to my family! It was a big big order and it's our second parcel to go over there whhooo!
We are also at Freedom Festival in Hull on the 7th and 8th September!
That will be Sarah and Katie with you all, enjoying the music and food again! Just like Humber Street Sesh but a lot, lot bigger!!
So roll on the next few months, hard work and road trips ahead!

To say we only started up together in January and have come as far as we have, it's surreal! Holding a concession in a major high street store and having a constantly growing following is a dream come true. Many companies take years to get to the position we are in.
We are not only a t-shirt printing company, we are three very hard working ladies from Hull, trying to make a business work when most are failing. We create a handmade, one of a kind clothing range that we put everything into, making sure it is of the best quality! Our skills and aims with the business are ever evolving with time and with the fast pace of the fashion industry. We're proud to say we have taken the risk and jumped in with both feet to make Bowes Threads what it is.
We still have a long way to go but there is nothing stopping us doing what we want and aiming higher! If you don't love what you do, then what's the point!
We are very lucky to get here in such a short space of time and would like to say a big thank you to all of our customers and to those that have supported us. We look to the future with bigger and better dreams.

We were interviewed and recorded at Bowes Threads HQ, for a piece on the 'Pattie' as it is 125 years old today! If you're from Hull you will know what I am on about ;) Journalist and Presenter Leanne Brown asked us about our 'Hull Loves' range, why we have made a Pattie Butty tee and our Made In Hull tee! The answer of course is, we are proud to be from Hull and love that we have these unique traits!
