#STUDENTINVASION, New Fabrics and Buzz!

New fabrics, hats and dye can only mean one thing... 

 Magical things are happening at Bowes Threads HQ!

This week is a very productive one, we had the #STUDENTINVASION at St. Stephen's last night, it looked very very busy!!

 Our 'Hull Loves' t-shirts went down a treat and we have almost sold out of our new dresses, again!! We love that you guys have been seen in our new, re-worked vintage denim jackets around town. Whoop! They're ace for this time of year; Halloween, 

Hull Fair and Bonfire Night! They look great teamed with either a hoody or cardigan, dress, tights and boots. Me and Katie are planning on studding up our jackets now!

As everything has been going so well, we've been busy working hard to get some new things in store for you! 

Katie's even been in the garden today having a party with some buckets, hats and dye, they're going to look ace! Me and Sarah have made a start on creating some new items with our lovely new fabrics. Crushed velvets, bold prints and soft embossed jerseys are in there, as well as a few contrasting elements; but I guess it wouldn't be Bowes Threads without them, right?! 

It's just who we are! Everything is going to look amazing together!

Oh, and Sarah has a new kitten! He is called Buzz Lightyear, not Buzz, Buzz Lightyear. He's the so sweet! Pics to come!

Tie Dye, Skater Skirts, Made In Hull, Ice Cream and a Word Search!

So we have been verrry verry busy the past couple of weeks! We have new dresses, skirts and a brand NEW 'Hull Loves' T-shirt! 

Everyone seems to be loving the fact you can get your t-shirts online now at www.bowesthreads.com ! Which is great!

Our new t-shirt design is a word search made up of Hull words! So have a little 'skeg' ;) on the website and see if you like them! They are also in Topshop St Stephen's Hull! Like the others they are available in plain white or tie dye, but this time with new colours! They are also £18 and sizes available are from XS - XL.

We have also re-stocked our previously sold out Bowes Threads 'Ice Cream' dresses. Once again each one is one of a kind and hand made! The skirts vary from pretty lace, polka dot cotton and bleached stencilled jersey(some may even have unicorn stencils on!) They come in a new size range of XS - L.

This dress is just a simple elasticated waist jersey dress. But it is extra special as we have added some intricate detailing by sewing some lovely beads and jewels on by hand. This oversized slouchy midi dress has been hand dip dyed in bleach! Great item for all year round! It has raw  cut cuffs and a raw hem!

'Ruby Noir' Bleached Oversized Sweater!

This 'Ruby Noir' black oversized jumper has been hand bleached to create and one off, 90's grunge look!

We think it looks great teamed with gold chains and black jeans! Great twist to a cosy jumper to keep you warm in this cold British weather!!

'Edna' Navy Jersey Oversized Midi Dress, Lace Collar Detail

This lovely midi dress is plain blue all over but we have added a lovely lace collar and rolled sleeves to create an individual piece! Again based on 90's grunge look this looks great as an oversized slouchy look and is incredibly comfortable!
