Embellished Denim, Pretty Dresses and New Tees!!

 Finally here are some photos of the new Bowes Threads A/W range for Topshop, St. Stephens, Hull!

New Bowes Threads A/W '13 Range.

We have two new dresses, Black Widow textured jersey skater dress only £30 and Midnight, textured paisley swing dress £32!

Our new Re-Worked Vintage Denim Jackets are now in store too! We have a Skull print, Cat Silhouette Moon print and plain embellished designs, all are just £45!

We have hand printed and sewn on each and every stud, star, spike, jewel you name it on there! Lots of hard work have gone into these garments and are already selling fast! I need to get my collar sorted on my over sized vintage denim jacket now! 

We also have another new t-shirt! Katie has been wearing hers around London this weekend!

Very proud of us all for getting these done and in store in the short amount of time we had! Everything is hand made and produced in Hull! Happy shopping :)

Hull Fair is Coming!!

There's a little buzz around town about our annual fair!

The anticipation of wrapping up in the cold weather, hot dog and burger stands, candy floss and the rides is getting everyone excited! Oh and the hot roast chestnuts... my faaaavourite!

We love Hull Fair and to celebrate we have created a Limited Edition printed t-shirt! We couldn't believe it when we found out it started way back in 1278! There are only 70 of them, each numbered, 35 White and 35 Black!

 They are exclusive to Topshop St. Stephens Hull! So hurry up and pick your number!! They're selling fast!! 

Printing, Studs, and Denim!!

This week has been full of printing, samples, studs, jewels, Kings Of Leon and denim!

Katie and Sarah printed a new t-shirt which will be revealed very soon! It's a local print but it applies to the surrounding areas of Hull too! We also have a special Limited Edition printed tee on the way, only 70 will be printed! So watch this space!

The new denim jackets are coming along nicely too, they are definitely an Autumn MUST HAVE! A great wardrobe staple with a Bowes twist! We think they will look great with a little skater dress and boots! So cute!

 

We have been listening to Kings Of Leon's new album too... some great songs on there! Plus they graced our screens on Jools Holland this week! Wiittt WHhhooooo!!

Freedom Festival!

So it was Freedom Festival this weekend, the sun was out, beers were flowing and it was a great success for us! It's great to see and know that people love the 'Hull Loves' tees.

It is absolutely freeezzinngg today!! Timed to perfection as everyone is knows summer is now over! Whaaa!!! :( We don't want it to end! At least the studio won't be so much like a sweat shop now! Can't handle any more pattern cutting in that heat!

Far too hot!

We have lots to get on with this week so it's back to early starts for us now, cracking on as we're up against our deadline for the new A/W collection to be done! Our 'Dotty' dress sold out so we are very excited to get the rest into store!

Early Start!

Patterns to be made and printing to be done!

Freedom Festival is at the weekend, we are all looking forward to it! The children's white Pattie Butty t-shirts will be launched there, so we're looking forward to seeing how they go! There will also be more baby grows as we pretty much sold out last time!

I heard Skaters being played in Topshop on Monday so they've been in my head ever since! Give them a listen!

New Threads Autumn/Winter 2013!

Monday turned out quite well for us in the end! Lots of planning has been done, deadlines set and designs finalised! I had a good move around with the stock at Topshop! It looks ACE!

We have introduced some of the NEW Bowes Threads AW range! There are more pieces to add, but you can see the new Levi's Jeans, Pinafore Dresses and Dotty Jersey Dresses!

Today I will be pattern cutting for the new range and Katie and Sarah are printing some of the baby grows and children's t-shirts ready for Freedom Festival!

So glad I don't have to do any sleeve blocks for a while now! They hurt my head! I love working on patterns but they do drain me! Lots of tea and biscuits will be needed!

Looking forward to the next few weeks! Lots of hard work to be done!

Monday Mornings!!

Us Bowes girls don't have the best track record with Mondays, but hopefully this week will be better! We have lots to be planning for the next few weeks!

The studio is on its way to being finished, should be just a couple of more weeks now! Can't wait to have our big work space and chalk board wall! Will be ace! Thinking we need a little picture board too, not sure where it'd go, I'm sure we'll find room! 

Our new children's tees are nearly ready! Whoo! We just need to get them all printed! More baby grows are also on their way! These will all be ready for Hull Freedom Festival!
